Synopsis
The once-vibrant Old Barn Country Hotel is now the scene of a series of eerie murders. Wannabe detective Jenkins takes on the challenge of tracking down the killer, but as he unravels the mystery, it becomes apparent that everyone has secrets—except the cook, who's genuinely too nice to be suspicious.
Production Notes
The Cook Did It! was our first one-act festival show, debuting at the Woking Drama Festival, where it received three award nominations. Adam Holland, Lauren Bowen, Nathalie Eeckhout, Jenny Ball, Gordon Watson and Ian Tapner joined The Fringe Files for the first time.
Full Timeline
Rehearsals for The Cook Did It! took place between July and October 2012 at The Nog Inn in Wincanton. Performance venues included The Rhoda McGaw Theatre as part of the Woking Drama Festival on October 11, 2012, The Memorial Hall in Wincanton on November 3, 2012, and The Drawbridge in Bristol on November 4, 2012.
