Synopsis
This play is a three character piece exploring Munchhausen by proxy, focusing specifically on the struggles of a mother and her young daughter.
Production Notes
Samantha marked a return to rehearsals in Bristol, after the company had been based in Somerset from 2012 to 2014. It also signified the company’s return to dramatic theatre. For this production, The Fringe Files welcomed Imogen Greenwood, Joshua Phillips, Sarah Brady, Rhian Brimble, Murilo Leite D’Imperio, Robert Walker and Mark Williamson for the first time.
Samantha received six award nominations during its run.
Full Timeline
Auditions for Samantha took place on April 12, 2015, with rehearsals running from July to October 2015 at The Drawbridge in Bristol. Performances were held at Hamilton House (Bristol) on October 3, 2015, The Rhoda McGaw Theatre as part of the Woking Drama Festival on October 10, 2015 and the Riverside Arts Centre as part of the Spelthorne & Runnymede Drama Festival on October 23, 2015.
