So, the first two of our four performances for The Not so Great Fallout of 1983 are now done and, boy, was it fantastic to have sold out both slots. Thank you Bristol! We had some amusing prop fails which added to the show vibe. Here are a few snaps taken from the audience during the 2pm performance. Now we head into the serious festivals, starting on Friday (20/10/2017) as we compete at the 59th Woking Drama Festival. How will we fair with the adjudicator? Will we experience another hilarious prop fail? Come along and cheer us on!
Sunday, October 8th, 2017… Our technical afternoon at St Werburgh’s Community Centre for forthcoming comedy play The Not so Great Fallout of 1983 was a one and only chance for our techies to brush off some of the pop-up sound and lighting. Yep, it’s very limited (4 x par64s for lighting, go us!) and, phew, it seemed to work fine. In terms of rehearsals, well, that’s it… It’s all over. Next up is a techie road trip this coming Saturday (Oct 14) to prep for next week’s Woking Drama Festival and then the following day (Oct 15) we’re performing alongside So Far So Good at the Watershed, Bristol. Come!
And now, the end is near, and so we face… the final curtain. Literally, our final rehearsal and three script runs completed (go us!). Next week, we’ll be doing our technical and then, performances begin! We are performing in Bristol at The Watershed (next week as I type this! What!!). It’s frightening to be honest and has all come about so quickly. We’re pretty much ready now though, and there’s an element of sadness with the knowledge that this will be The Fringe Files‘s final production for quite a while. We enter sleep mode beyond The Not so Great Fallout of 1983. We’ll be back for sure at some point, but when… who knows, perhaps in time for our 10th anniversary?!
So… Bristol… Woking… Sunbury… Are you ready for us? The Box Office is now open. We’ll see you there.
We’re delighted to announce that our first performance of The Not so Great Fallout of 1983 will be at The Watershed (Bristol) on October 15, 2017. This will be our first time at the Harbourside venue and we cannot wait! There, we will present our show alongside another new play, So Far So Good, written by Jon Attwood & Charlotte Wright. A double exclusive… and times that by two further because… there will be TWO performances at The Watershed on that same day, 2pm and 5pm. So, why not jump over to our online Box Office, pick your prefered time and join us for two fantastic pieces of theatre.
