Following our successful opening of the 2012 Woking Drama Festival where we were nominated for “best new play” and “best use of lighting”, The Fringe Files are truly excited to be stopping off in the heart of Somerset with our one act whodunit parody The Cook Did It! on Nov 3rd at the Wincanton Memorial Hall where we will be performing twice in one day (3pm and 8pm!)
Tickets are available for just £3 and may be purchased through our online box office directly. Limited tickets will also be available at the door.
The once thriving Old Barn Country Hotel plays host to an unwanted spate of sinister deaths. However, nobody is convicted, public interest quickly wanes and the cases are filed away as unsolved. Cue Jenkins, a local video store clerk and keen amateur detective, who believes he has unravelled a pattern linking the victims. Jenkins undertakes the task of identifying the killer armed with notes written on a collection of multi-coloured post-it pads. Unfortunately events soon take a turn for the worse and suspicion becomes rife amongst the guests. Suddenly everybody has something to hide, except the cook, who’s really nice.
A huge thank you to everybody who made the journey in horrid weather to come and support us at the Woking Drama Festival yesterday for what was our first performance of The Cook Did It! It was a tad rough around the edges admittedly but I think we did a good job overall and we’re very proud of what we achieved.
Time for a short break now before we re-group on Sunday to discuss our thoughts and the much valued, and mostly positive, feedback provided to us by the festival adjudicator.
If you couldn’t make the journey to Woking, don’t worry, we’ll be bringing the show to both Wincanton & Bristol in a couple of weeks. Speaking of which, tickets are available
