Announcement

Fringe Files launch Podcast channel!

The Fringe Files are delighted to announce the launch of a brand new podcast channel featuring members of the company in association with MixCloud. The channel will host a brand new improvised (non-scripted) broadcast called “The adequately confused incompetent radish radio show” with historical episodes now uploaded for you to enjoy. New episodes will be regularly recorded and posted up on the channel.

The podcasts are ultimately set-up for three reasons, to enhance the The Fringe Files on the whole, to maintain creative output between theatre productions and to open up opportunities for future funding. Please do bookmark our podcast page and feel free to post up a subject for us to discuss on our next podcast on our Podcast Message Board or our Facebook Page.

World Premiere of “underLINE”

The Fringe Files are delighted to announce that our next production will be the world premiere of underLINE, a science fiction thriller fresh off the writing floor. Further details will be announced in due course such as production details and suchlike. In the meantime, here’s a very early trailer:-

Edinburgh Festival star joins Fringe Files

We are both humbled and absolutely delighted to announce that our support act for The Cook Did It! in Bristol on November 4th will be the wonderful Fernando!

Fresh from a successful sell-out run at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Fernando is a character developed by talented improv performer and event compere Ian Gordon.

Fernando joins us as a cross over to his own tour. Do check out his website for full touring details.

Tickets are limited for this venue so do grab them whilst you can. Just £4.00 each! Visit our box office and book now as we wouldn’t want you to miss out on what will be a wonderful and unique evening of raw entertainment.

A further announcement will be made in due course for our Wincanton performances.

3rd November 2012 … we will be doing two performances at the Wincanton Memorial Hall. A matinee from 3pm and an evening showing from 8pm. We will be joined by a support act. Tickets may be purchased here.

We are expecting to announce dates for Bristol shortly.

Please be aware that tickets will be limited for Bristol. We are hoping to book either November 4th or November 11th for this show. Tickets will be released onto our box office once available.

Tour Venue: Wincanton Memorial Hall

The Fringe Files are delighted to confirm that the second venue for our 2012 touring production of The Cook Did It! will be Wincanton Memorial Hall in South Somerset. This will be our first ever performance in the West Country as a company.

The hall was opened on January 9th 1960 by the late Freddie Goodliffe who was the secretary of the Somerset Rural Community Council. After the opening there was a concert and in the evening a grand dance. In 1962 the lounge extension and the bar were added. The BBC used the hall in 1964 for the radio programme “Any Questions?” A Memorial has been built in the grounds of the hall to remember those who served in the forces and those who have given their lives.

The venue is also popular with local drama groups, often holding good sized pantomimes and came highly recommended to us.

Full performance details will be announced in due course.

Woking Drama Festival 2012

The Fringe Files are delighted to announce that we will be participating in the 2012 Woking Drama Festival at the Rhona McGaw Theatre in October, where we will be performing Michael Starr’s murder mystery spoof The Cook Did It!

The Woking Drama Festival is one of the largest drama competitions in the British Isles, focusing on one act plays. It is notable not only for its size, but also for the quality of its leading performances, with the winner of the festival having gone onto win the British All Winners Festival on a number of occasions.

Founded in 1959, the festival is organised by the Woking Drama Association.

The Fringe Files will be announcing specific performance details shortly, and offering you an opportunity to win two tickets to see our show. To be in with a chance of winning these tickets please be sure to join us on Facebook.
